Amber Riley Performs A Show Stopping Cha-Cha-Cha On Dancing With The Stars

For the last four seasons the cast of Glee have been saying that the cast is like a family. On Monday’s premier of Dancing With the Stars they proved it! Several cast members came out to support Amber Riley and her pro partner Derek Hough as they showed the other contestants that they may be the team to beat.

When Tom Bergeron sat down with Amber Riley before her performance on the season 17 premiere of Dancing With the Stars, the Glee star seemed nervous and a bit shy. But when she took to the dance floor, shy was the last word you would use to describe her performance.

Amber and her partner — 4-time champ — Derek Hough performed a Cha-Cha-Cha that left the judges in awe. Bruno Tonioli saud, “You are the tigress of Season 17!” Carrie Ann Inaba then violently bowed to her, exclaiming, “You turned that Cha-Cha out, I’m that breathless.” Finally, Len Goodman said, “Week 1 and you come out and dance like that? Incredible, full-on, flat-out fabulous.”

The judges showed their appreciation of her sassy performance by awarding her 9s across the board, a score usually unheard of in week one.

Amber’s Glee costars could not agree more. It was like a reunion of McKinley High in the ballroom with Chris Colpher (Kurt), Dianna Agron (Quinn), Harry Shum Jr. (Mike), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) and Kevin McHale (Artie) all showing up to support her as she made her dancing debut.

Kevin McHale took it one step further by trying to help garner votes by tweeting, “Make sure u vote tonight!!! #DWTS @MsAmberPRiley @derekhough #TeamRoughley 1-800-868-3407 #luckynumber7!”

Did you vote for Amber and Derek? Did her costars help her get votes? Do you think they are the team to beat this season on Dancing With the Stars? Leave a comment below and let us know.
