Walford singletons Alice Branning (Jasmyn Banks) and Tamwar Masood (Himesh Patel) look set to embark on a romance in upcoming episodes…

And it all begins when Alice takes pity on Tamwar when it appears that stallholders Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) and Bianca Butcher (Patsy Palmer) have played a cruel trick on the poor lad.

As we’ll see in the episode that airs on Tuesday, August 13, a temporary portaloo has been placed in the market for the stallholders to use, however, it soon becomes a grim place, and to prove how nasty it is, Kat forces Tamwar to go inside. While he’s in there, Winston (Ulric Browne) locks him in.

Later, Alice hears that Tamwar’s trapped and with the help of a now repentant Bianca, they open the door and a traumatized Tam stumbles out, making Bianca feel more guilty than ever.

On Thursday, Alice finds Tamwar hiding in the launderette, and having talked over the portaloo incident, the pair set out to get revenge on Kat and Bianca…

Later, Tamwar presents Bianca and Kat with an official looking letter from the council, telling them they need to pay damages for the broken portaloo. The women panic and beg Tamwar to help as it’s not their fault and they can’t afford it.

As the rest of the traders look on, Tamwar suggests they take on litter duty for a week instead, and grateful, they agree. As Tamwar leaves, Bianca and Kat discover it was a hoax and that everyone is laughing at them. However, Alice and Tamwar are delighted and hug, however, they both soon pull away, feeling awkward.

Then, on Friday, Fatboy (Ricky Norwood) is excited when he realises that Tamwar likes Alice, and with the help of Poppy (Rachel Bright) and Dot (June Brown) they arrange a surprise romantic dinner for two. ..

Alice and Tamwar arrive at Dot’s to find they’ve been set up on a date, but they get on like a house on fire. However, the food is disaster so they decide to head to the cinema instead, and as Fatboy and Dot watch from The Vic, Tamwar takes the plunge and kisses Alice.

Is this the start of a romance? Find out soon!

For now, here’s a look at the next episode of EastEnders…
