Last night marked an exciting episode of The Voice — and this was not simply a result of the hyped semi-finals selection. The show was made far more enjoyable thanks to the return of the lovely Cassadee Pope. How did the crowd like Cassadee’s new single?

Cassadee Pope has been incredibly busy in the several months following her victory on The Voice. And last night, America had the opportunity to see the product of all that effort. The champ returned to the reality competition to debut Wasting All These Tears, a single that is already proving incredibly successful on the charts. Even without the help of publicity garnered by last night’s performance on The Voice, Wasting All These Tears managed to rocket up into the top ten on iTunes within hours of its release. Not bad for a singer who, as of this time last year, was still a relative unknown in the music industry!

Between impressive sales on iTunes and the overwhelmingly positive reception to her appearance on The Voice, it’s clear that Cassadee Pope had a great night. She shared her excitement while thanking dedicated fans by tweeting, “Are you serious?! I can’t believe this!! #wastingallthesetears thank you thank you thank you!” Following her big performance, Cassadee added, “So incredible to be back on #TheVoice stage!”

If you missed Cassadee Pope on The Voice last night or have yet to download her latest single on iTunes, no worries — you can listen to Wasting All These Tears right here! Check it out and then share your thoughts in the comments section below!
