Surprise, surprise! When the new cast for the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars was revealed a few weeks ago, everyone was left scratching their heads as to what happened to the 12th contestant. Most of us were speculating that since the show had more women than men cast, The Bachelor’s Sean Lowe would be competing, and they would announce it after the show’s finale. So, it really was no shocker when Sean Lowe appeared on GMA this morning and made it official!

It really was the surprise that we all saw coming. After the big finale of The Bachelor last night, Sean Lowe made an appearance this morning on ABC’s Good Morning America, for a huge announcement. In a short segment on the show, Lowe announces that all of the rumors were indeed true – he will be competing on the new season of Dancing With The Stars! Lowe will be paired up with (as was also rumored) Peta Murgatroyd.

Dancing With The Stars executive producer, Conrad Green reiterated what we already knew – that they did not want to make the announcement until after The Bachelor was over, adding: “And it’s nice to make the announcement just in time for our show.”

Meanwhile, Lowe’s dancing partner, Peta Murgatroyd took to Twitter this morning, posting: “So…it’s official everyone! @Seanlowe09 and I will be dancing into your living rooms March 18 on #DWTS.” Murgatroyd also joked that it was the worst kept secret ever. We completely agree there, although the only secret worst kept than that one was probably the winner of The Bachelor. Kudos to ABC for trying, but we all saw it coming.

What do you think about Sean Lowe competing on Dancing With The Stars? Are you excited? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it! Comment below to share your thoughts with us.
