Survivor will broadcast the conclusion to its spring finale from Los Angeles, instead of the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City, which is typically the spring season’s live reunion home. It will be broadcast May 12, one week after the two-hour Amazing Race finale.
CBS didn’t announce a reason for the change, but just listed the one-hour reunion as “from Los Angeles” in a press release. Survivor: The Australian Outback aired its reunion from L.A., but the next spring, Survivor Marquesas’ Central Park reunion began the tradition of New York hosting spring finales. Perhaps Bryant Gumbel will return to host, too.
