EastEnders

In next week’s episodes of EastEnders, struggling single mum Bianca Butcher (Patsy Palmer) has to take extreme measures to keep her wayward teenage son Liam (James Ford) away from the gang he’s involved in, and she enlists the help of Ray Dixon (Chucky Venn) to do so.

The drama begins on Monday, 18 March when we’ll see Bianca frantic after Liam’s been out all night. However, though she’s of course relieved when he arrives home, it’s short lived as the stroppy teen refuses to go to school or tell her where he’s been.

He storms off to his room, and, already late for work, Bianca asks Ray to sit in the house to ensure that Liam doesn’t leave again…

Later on, Bianca has to go to Tiffany’s school for a meeting with her teacher, however, she’s surprised to find Ava (Claire Perkins) there, but she explains that she’s standing in for Tiff’s teacher…

She then tries to calm a defensive Bianca by explaining that she knows what she’s going through because her son Dexter (Khali Best) was also once in a gang. However, not wanting to accept the Liam is part of any gang, an angry Bianca leaves.

Meanwhile at home, Ray has to physically restrain Liam after the teenager tries to leave the house, while outside, the gang wait for their newest recruit. So when Bianca arrives and tells them to leave, adding that Liam’s grounded, they laugh at her but begin to disperse.

Once inside, Liam’s forced into his bedroom by Ray and Bianca, and not knowing what else to do, Bianca locks her son in.

In the episode that airs on Tuesday, 19 March, Bianca’s so determined that Liam’s not leaving, she’s slept outside his bedroom door, however, a furious Liam continues to hammer on the door and to kick it.

EastEnders

Bianca’s mum Carol (Lindsey Coulson) then arrives, and tells her daughter she’ll keep Liam in while Bianca’s at work. However, she’s shocked to hear Liam’s rage through the bedroom door, and more so when Liam tries to barge past her when she takes him some food.

Later, Carol advises Bianca to get some help in the form of counseling for Liam, and in a bid to end the tense situation, Bianca sits outside her son’s room, telling him they need to talk.

She then softens when Liam breaks down and explains how much he misses the relationship they had when he was younger…

EastEnders

Thinking they’ve turned a corner, Bianca unlocks the door, however, Liam barges right past her and yells at her that it’s her fault for how he’s turned out and adds that she is totally to blame for how messed up he is.

Furious Bianca then lashes out and hits Liam, shoving him back into his room and locking the door as she does so.

However, she’s mortified by what she’s just done. Is her relationship with Liam ruined for good? And what’s going to happen if her probation officer hears that she’s been violent?

Find out next week, but for now, here’s a look at the next episode of ‘Enders…
