Just when we thought that Elena was finally coming to terms with her bereavement and starting to get over the premature passing of her younger sibling, in the next episode of The Vampire Diaries she gives Stefan more and more reasons to be concerned.

The brunette beauty is joining Caroline in a cheerleading competition, which seems like a great idea what with their advanced abilities and cheering experience, but things get dangerous when Elena decides to feed on a member of the rival team.

Caroline is furious with her pal for sucking the competition’s blood and even Stefan has to admit that the love of his life, may be losing her human touch.

The brooding hunk tells his slightly more evil brother Damon:

“She’s numb to everything that makes her who she is.”

Of course the elder Salvatore isn’t very concerned and insists:

“Show her a good time.”

He thinks a bit of fun, allowing Elena to throw off her restraints and act out will help her deal with her recent trauma.

He may be forced to rethink his assumptions, when later in the episode he and Stefan find Elena walking outdoors, completely naked. She rightly points out:

“It’s nothing you guys haven’t seen before.”

That won’t help the sibling rivalry!

“The Vampire Diaries” will take a two-week hiatus in America and new instalment “Bring It On” will return to the CW on Thursday, March 14. It will air in the UK later that month.
