Oh, Allie Pohevitz.  We barely go to know ya.  The 25-year-old’s time on Survivor: Caramoan — Fans Vs. Favorites was cut extremely short and barely featured.  If you blinked, you probably missed her.  Instead, the Gota (Fans) frustratingly chose to keep Shamar Thomas and his lazy butt in the game and gave the nearly invisible Allie the big ol’ boot.  In an exit interview with reporters, Allie revealed that she was aware Reynold Toepfer had found the hidden Immunity Idol and he offered to give it to her prior to Tribal Council.  She also dished the dirt that Laura isn’t the person who spotted Reynold’s Idol.  She said that was somebody else entirely.  Finally, Allie unleashed her unfiltered opinions of Shamar calling him a “disgusting” and “vile” human being.  Dig into all the drama inside this article…

Question: Did you know Reynold had found the hidden Immunity Idol?

Allie Pohevitz: I knew that Reynold had the Idol.  It wasn’t a secret between the two of us.  We had talked about it beforehand about if I needed it or he needed it.  He did offer it to me that night. …  I could have taken it from him that night, but I didn’t want to be the reason that he went home.  There was a one percent chance I had in my head he was going home.  If I grabbed the Idol and used it for myself and the votes were for him, I could have never lived with that.

Question: So he showed the Idol to everybody in your four-way alliance?

Allie Pohevitz: No.  Just me.

Question: So the only other person who knew he had it was Laura after she saw the bulge in his pocket?

Allie Pohevitz: No.  Sherri is actually the one that saw Reynold have the Idol and she tipped off Laura.

Question: We really didn’t get to know you that much.  Why were they so threatened by you and not Reynold?

Allie Pohevitz: Reynold was a huge competitor in the challenges, and I think, unfortunately for me, Reynold and I were probably the two most strategic out there but he was just much more useful during the challenges.  While it sucked for me getting voted out, I think they needed him and they couldn’t leave us both in there because we would have done damage.

Question: Do you think being such a self-admitted mega fan made you a bigger threat?

Allie Pohevitz: Yeah.  I was viewed as more strategic.  Had I kept my mouth shut about what a fan I was, I probably would have done a lot better than I did.

Question: Is Shamar as bad in person as he comes across on TV?

Allie Pohevitz: He’s much worse in person.  It’s not the lazy that bothers me.  If you wanna be lazy, that’s fine.  That’s brilliant if you want to save your energy.  He would scream at us all day long.  He would bark orders.  He cursed me out in front of the other tribe.  I would get into it with him every day.  That Tribal Council I had a screaming match with him because he’s just a disgusting human being.  He called me a lot of words that I wouldn’t call anybody.  He’s just vile.

Question: Do you believe Shamar’s story that his laziness at camp is actually a strategy?

Allie Pohevitz: I think that he knew he wasn’t going to be able to do anything around camp, so he’s using it as a strategy.  There’s only so much I can criticize his game because he lasted longer than I did, however, you can’t possibly be playing 24/7 like that.  That’s who you are as a person.  He’s a disgrace.

Question: Was there ever a time you considered Matt and Michael solid members of your alliance?

Allie Pohevitz: We never had Michael.  He was always with Julia and Sherri.  We were convinced that we had Matt.  In the beginning we had Laura, but it didn’t work out.  The boys were hardcore convinced that we were working with Matt and I think up until a little right before Tribal Council we did have Matt working with us. …

Question: Having watched the show loyally for years, was there anybody on the Bikal (Favorites) tribe that you were looking forward to working with?

Allie Pohevitz: I would have loved the opportunity to work with Corinne or Malcolm.  Malcolm, we didn’t really know his strategy, but we figured he had to be good coming into it if he was brought back for a second season in a row.  That rarely happens.  I just love that Corinne is so upfront and in your face about things I figured she’s much easier to work with than somebody who’s going back and forth and very wishy-washy.  She knows what she wants and if she doesn’t like you she’s not gonna work with you.  I would rather work with somebody like that where I know what they’re thinking all the time.

Question: Had you ever applied for the show before?

Allie Pohevitz: I had applied once a couple years ago.  I went to an open call.  To be honest, I didn’t know what I was doing.  I was just figuring I love this show, let me try.  Obviously nothing came of it.  So I had sent in an application video for this season and they called me the next day.

Question: How did it feel, as a fan, to have your torch snuffed?

Allie Pohevitz: Oh, it was awful.  I was heartbroken.  I mean, I knew it was coming.  It’s not like I was blindsided. …  It’s really hard to be voted out by a bunch of people that had no idea what they’re doing.  I think that’s the worst part.  I felt like I knew so much and they knew so little.  The fact that I got voted out was just awful.

What are your thoughts on what Allie had to say?  Are you surprised by anything?  Would you have taken the Immunity Idol from Reynold if you were in her position?  Were you bummed out she was voted off so quickly?  Sound off and leave a comment below!
