Melissa Gilbert won the hearts of viewers when she paired up with Maksim Chmerkovskiy and danced her way into the list of fan favorites on the fourteenth season of Dancing with the Stars last year. Melissa Gilbert won the hearts of fans on Dancing With The Stars last year, and guess what? The Little House On The Prairie star is now gearing up to dance her heart out at her own wedding. Yep, Melissa has gotten engaged to her boyfriend, Timothy Busfield.
In fact, according to a source, who spoke to US Weekly: “They got engaged over the holidays.” A rep for Melissa Gilbert also confirmed the news to People Magazine, telling them: “They are engaged and both are incredibly happy.”
So, just who is Timothy Busfield? He is a 55-year-old actor who has starred in Thirtysomething and West Wing, as well as a father of three who has been married twice (to Radha Delmarter and Jenny Meriwin.) This will also make the third marriage for Gilbert, whose ex-husbands include Bo Brinkman and Bruce Boxleitner. The 48-year-old has two children, one with each of her ex-husbands.
