Boardwalk Empire star, Charlie Cox, has reportedly signed up to star in a pilot for a  new CBS drama, The Ordained.

Cox is a British actor who is best known for his starring role as Tristan Thorn in Stardust and more recently for his supporting role in the second and third seasons of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire opposite Steve Buscemi.

The Ordained is said to follow Tom, a priest born of high society who decides to leave the church to embark on a new career as a solicitor, who investigate an assassination plot against his politician sister, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Charlie will join Nestor Serrano, who is best known for his role in Act of Valor, who will play one of Tom’s legal colleagues, and a suspect in the murder investigation.

The Ordained has been written by Lisa Takeuchi Cullen with RJ Cutler in line to direct.
