Ouch! Chad Johnson (Ochocinco) Takes Another Blow

Evelyn Lozada is filing for divorce from her husband of just over a month, Chad Johnson, formerly Ochocinco, after the domestic violence arrest this past weekend. Oddly enough, now it appears that this may not have been the first time that Johnson was violent with the Basketball Wives‘ star, and it’s starting to cost him as Chad took yet another blow!

As if getting arrested, losing your wife, and then being cut from The Miami Dolphins, Chad Johnson has taken another blow since the news broke about his violent attack against his soon to be ex-wife, Evelyn Lozada. Chad Johnson signed an endorsement deal less than a month ago with Zico coconut water, and we’ve just learned that they too have just fired Johnson! Ouch, that’s gotta hurt!

According to TMZ, the company released the following statement about Johnson: “In light of recent events involving Mr. Johnson, we have decided to terminate our relationship with him.” Now, we are certain the “recent events” refer to the domestic violence, as the company rep went on to add: “The values we espouse, through our employees, our customers and our brand, are central to our mission. We have taken this proactive step to demonstrate just how important those values are.”

Meanwhile, new rumors claim that this is not the first time that Chad Johnson has been violent with Evelyn, which is probably why she ended things so quickly. Chad Johnson also made the following statement to his fans: “To all the fans and supporters I have disappointed, you have my sincerest apologies. I will stay positive and get through this tough period in my life,” adding that he wishes Evelyn well, and that he truly does love her. Sure.

Since the arrest, Chad and Evelyn’s VH1 spin-off, Ev & Ocho, has also been canceled. However, they were recently featured on the first episode of HBO’s docu-series, “Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Miami Dolphins,” where Chad’s arrest will be shown!

Do you think the company was correct to fire Chad? We do! Comment and share your thoughts with us below!
