A house on St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands is the likely location for season 27 of The Real World, breaking the show’s recent pattern of returning to the same cities: San Diego, Las Vegas, and New Orleans.
The $7.5 million house is located on an island just off the mainland that’s mostly a national park, meaning the cast will be quite isolated. Vevmo has photos of the house and other details about it.
The Virgin Islands Daily News reports that “vendors, contractors, artists and bars have been doing swift business with the show’s producers and crew in preparation for filming. Some landlords have gotten new tenants who have agreed to short-term leases of five or six months.” In addition, the tourism authority acknowledging but not naming a filming project, and vendors saying they’re getting checks from an address that matches production company Bunim-Murray’s California address.
