As fans of Lorraine Kelly will know, last week, she suffered severe injuries after being thrown from her horse while practicing for a charity event.
She was rushed to hospital at St George’s hospital in London where she was treated for her injuries, which included having to have surgery on her leg.
In a message to her fans, thanking them for their support and well wishes, Lorraine said, “Thanks to everyone for the get well messages.
“It was frightening but I’m getting better. The operation went well and the wound is healing nicely, but my left leg is black and blue and swollen…
“I’ll probably have a hoof-shaped scar.”
And on her Twitter page, she wrote, “Really touched by your kind wishes — hoping to be out of hospital Friday latest.
“Wound still draining and will have an interesting scar.”

He added, ”Lorraine is a terrific ambassador for Poppyscotland and, as someone who puts her heart and soul into all her charity work, she must be disappointed to be out of action.
”We send her our very best wishes and we hope she is on the mend soon.”
