X-Factor judge Simon Cowell and girlfriend Mezhgan Hussainy have put a hold on their wedding plans, but is this the end of the road for the Hollywood couple? Will Simon ever marry Mezhgan Hussainy? Find out what the FOX reality star has to say about the current status of their relationship after the jump.

Is it over for Simon Cowell and make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy? Not exactly.

The couple may have canceled their wedding plans, but according to Cowell, things between the lovers aren’t as clear-cut as one would expect.

“It’s quite a complicated relationship. We have had a break from each other and we are still incredibly close,” Cowell explains in Sunday’s edition of The Mirror. “I’m vulnerable. It’s not on, it’s not off, it’s somewhere in the middle. I don’t know if I will ever get married, but I am happy.”

Simon and Mezhgan began dating in 2003 after meeting on the set of American Idol, where she worked as a makeup artist. In 2010, a very “smitten” Cowell told TV host Piers Morgan, “I think she’s the one. She’s very special…You know when you’ve found somebody very special.”

It seems that lately, Simon has been regretting those remarks.

“I have been pretty good about not talking about my private stuff,” says Cowell of his Piers Morgan interview, telling The Mirror that he “got caught up in the moment.”

Tell us what you think…. Will Simon Cowell and Mezhgan Hussainy eventually walk down the aisle?
