Jillian Michaels Is Finally Becoming A Mother!

January 16, 2012 03:44 PM by Ashley Lee

Former Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels announced in 2010 that her top priority was starting a family, and she began the adoption process in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Earlier this month, Michaels announced that she’ll soon become a mother to a little girl in Haiti! Read on for the details on her future daughter and, unfortunately, why she isn’t fully celebrating the good news just yet.

“I’ve been matched with a little girl,” said Jillian Michaels on Access Hollywood Live earlier this month. ”I went over to visit orphanages and I ended up falling in love with this little girl, and by the grace of God, I got matched up with her.”

Though Michaels has finally found her future daughter in Haiti, she admits that the most tedious part of international adoption still lies ahead.

“I now have to get her home,” she explained. “It could take up to a year to get her home.”

She says it may be too soon to celebrate the good news and is maintaining a positive yet realistic attitude.

“Anything can happen and fall through or fall apart,” she said, “so it’s kind of premature for me to say it, but that’s where it’s at.”

How will Michaels react if the worst does happen and the adoption goes awry? Michaels answered, “You’ll know why I’m devastated and not coming out of my house for months.”

How to make: A fashionable cake

The Stella McCartney ‘fruit print’ has become one of the most iconic patterns for the season, with high street brands such as Zara following suit. However, the look can be fairly difficult to pull off unless you’re a stick thin model, so we’ve found a way to get your fashion fix and your hunger fix for a fraction of the cost of a real Stella. Courtesy of Apollinas. Ingredients: Directions Heat oven to 350°F. Butter two 8?, 9? or 10? round cake pans, line the bottoms with greaseproof paper, butter again, and dust with flour, tapping out the excess.
