Jennifer Lopez Peacefully Promotes New Reality Show With Marc Anthony

If you thought things were all arguments between Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, you’re wrong! Though they’re no longer married and are currently in disagreement over Jennifer’s new man, the two remain close to promote their new reality television show that scouts talent throughout Latin America. Read on for details on the new show and how the American Idol judge is working alongside her soon-to-be ex-husband.

Though American Idol returns to FOX this week, Jennifer Lopez has also been promoting another reality show recently: ¡Q’Viva! The Chosen is a Latin American reality talent competition from American Idol creator Simon Fuller, with Lopez and Marc Anthony working together as producers. The show premieres on Univision later this month.

Lopez and Anthony will act more as scouts rather than as judges, and are responsible for putting together live shows. Last summer, the public submitted their auditions via YouTube and Facebook, showing off their best talents in singing, dancing and other performance skills.

After a year on the Idol panel, Lopez may feel like a pro at this point, especially with Simon Fuller on board with this project. However, it’s Anthony’s first time working on a talent competition show.

“There are good ideas and there are great ideas, and great ideas are when everybody wins,” Anthony said at the Television Critics Association winter press panel. “We had many things to consider project-wise, and it was about time to take (this) on.”

And how is the pair fairing professionally? At the panel, Anthony helped Lopez up the stairs to the stage and the two sat side-by-side onstage. For some reason, they only took two questions from the press and ended the panel with an awkward high five.

“Working together has been great,” said Lopez at the panel. “We have a ball.”
