James Van Der Beek, Dean Cain on fake Dancing with the Stars

Dawson’s Creek and Rules of Attraction star James Van Der Beek and Lois and Clark star Dean Cain will both appear on a fake version of Dancing with the Stars that will be a storyline on ABC’s upcoming mid-season comedy Don’t Trust the B In Apartment 23.

Dean Cain will be partnered with Karina Smirnoff and will be rivals with Van Der Beek, who came up with the idea of this storyline. He plays a fictional version of himself on the scripted series, and told TV Guide, “I had been offered [to be on Dancing] a couple times. I always thought it would be kind of fun, but would never do it, but that doesn’t mean the Apartment 23 me can’t do it!” He said his character “is completely blind. He’s so narcissistic to the point where he doesn’t even realize there are other people in the universe sometimes. This is our way of skewering this kind of actor and pop culture in general.”

In the interview, he also talks about training for it, which took him four months, and the way his character goes into “panic mode” when he’s assigned a partner he doesn’t like.

How to make: A fashionable cake

The Stella McCartney ‘fruit print’ has become one of the most iconic patterns for the season, with high street brands such as Zara following suit. However, the look can be fairly difficult to pull off unless you’re a stick thin model, so we’ve found a way to get your fashion fix and your hunger fix for a fraction of the cost of a real Stella.
