EastEnders: Denise Fox gets a shocking present on Christmas Day, and my new stalker theory!

December 9th, 2011 by Sarah. No comments

News from Walford way today includes the revelation that on Christmas Day, Denise Fox (Diane Parish) will receive a shocking gift from an unknown source…

And after I’ve told you about that, I’ll tell you who I now suspect may be Phil’s stalker!

But first, on Christmas morning, Denise finds a gift under her tree, and when she opens it, she’s puzzled to find that it’s a USB stick.

Intrigued as to what’s on it, Denise and her sister Kim (Tameka Empson) hurriedly boot up the computer, and listen in horrified silence as Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) voice booms out, confessing to having sold Kevin Wicks (Phil Daniels) the car that he died in following a crash.

Denise and Kevin were of course living together at the time of his death, and she was left devastated at her loss.

Click ‘Read more’ for a reminder of the moment Kevin died, with Phil’s girlfriend Shirley (Linda Henry) at his side…

And here’s the moment Denise said goodbye to Kevin…

Of the plotline, Tameka told Inside Soap, “When all the information about Kevin Wicks and Phil blows up, it comes out of nowhere for the Fox girls.

“Kevin’s death was way before Kim’s time, so she’s bewildered by the whole thing.

“They wonder why someone would tell them about such a thing on Christmas Day.”

Indeed, they might well wonder, but given how this storyline is panning out, I’m wondering if one of Shirley’s kids is the mystery stalker? Or indeed, Shirley herself!

If it’s Shirley, then revenge for her really is a dish best served cold, since Kevin’s death was several years ago. But maybe she’s been biding her time, getting close to Phil to ruin him from the inside?

Or, if it’s one of her kids – who are of course Deano (Matt Di Angelo) and Carly Wicks (Kellie Shirley) – they too may have been biding their time to take revenge for Kevin’s death. After all, he brought them up when Shirley did a runner!

They both left the Square after a lot of bitterness arose with their mother, so this would be the perfect revenge wouldn’t it? Ruin Phil and Shirley’s lives in one fell swoop!

What do you think? Could it be Shirley, Deano or Carly?

Here’s a reminder of what Carly said about her dad at his wake…

How to make: A fashionable cake

The Stella McCartney ‘fruit print’ has become one of the most iconic patterns for the season, with high street brands such as Zara following suit. However, the look can be fairly difficult to pull off unless you’re a stick thin model, so we’ve found a way to get your fashion fix and your hunger fix for a fraction of the cost of a real Stella. Courtesy of Apollinas. Ingredients: Directions Heat oven to 350°F. Butter two 8?, 9? or 10? round cake pans, line the bottoms with greaseproof paper, butter again, and dust with flour, tapping out the excess. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.Using an electric mix, beat the butter and sugar on medium-high until fluffy – this will take around 2 to 3 minutes.  Mix in the grated zest of the oranges and lemons.  Beat in the vanilla, then the eggs one at a time.Reduce mixer speed to low.
