Rachel Crow’s Troubled Past Revealed

Rachel Crow, the 13-year-old sensation on The X Factor, rocked the stage last night, leaving the judges in awe of her “mini Beyonce” performance. Despite her upbeat attitude, new reports have surfaced revealing Rachel’s troubled past. More after the jump…

The X Factor‘s Rachel Crow is so upbeat that it is hard to imagine she could come from a troubled home, but she has. Rachel Crow is actually adopted, and she was taken from a bad situation, her adoptive mother recently revealed. Barbara Crow told The New York Post: “She was born a crack baby and actually lived in a crack house and suffered a lot of abuse,” adding: “She came to us through Social Services. In situations like that, it is a little more dangerous, so they keep everything sealed. It is not like entering into a typical private adoption. This is where parental rights were terminated, and the child suffered a lot of abuse.”

Wow, who knew Rachel Crow had such a troubled past? Despite all of that, Rachel remains upbeat as her mom also said: “But she is totally unaffected by it. She never looks at her past in a sad way. She looks at it as that is what made her the person she is.” Rachel Crow won’t even acknowledge that she has birth parents, and she refers to her adoptive parents as her “real parents,” and she will shut you down if you try to tell her otherwise! Rachel Crow also says that if she wins the $5 million dollar prize, she will use some of that money to help other adoptive and foster children achieve their dreams.

Kudos to Rachel Crow for remaining upbeat and not letting the past get the best of her. We have a feeling Rachel will end up in the finale, so she may get her chance to use that prize money!
