Attention to all you single guys out there! The X Factor‘s Nicole Scherzinger is back on the market! The Pussycat Doll may be busy with her contestants, but sources say the star recently split from her long time beau. What happened? Read on to find out!

The X Factor’s Nicole Scherzinger has officially split from her beau of 4 years, Lewis Hamilton. Nicole and Lewis, an F1 race car driver, hooked up back in 2007, and were even reportedly engaged back in July, but then Nicole Tweeted and put that rumor to rest. So what caused the split? An insider close to the pair told People Magazine: “They’d been long distance for a long time and it’s just been hard. They both tried to make it work, but their careers kept them apart. So for now it’s over. They think this is what’s best.”

Despite the split, Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton have no hard feelings. The source went on to say: “They are still very good friends and it was an amicable split, but they just decided it was impossible to keep the relationship going with such conflicting work schedules.” That’s good news for all your single guys out there, but the bad news is that Nicole is extremely busy with The X Factor, so dating may be the last thing on her mind right now.
