Project Runway Recap: The Designers Go Back In Time To Create Retro Looks

On tonight’s episode of Project Runway the designers go back in time to create designs inspired by the 70's. Tensions are high as the remaining designers compete to win on Lifetime’s fashion reality TV competition. Keep reading to find out who wows the judges misses the mark!

The remaining designers face the challenge of creating modern designs inspired by the 1970's. The top seven designers on Project Runway include Anthony Ryan Auld, Anya Ayoung-Chee, Bert Keeter, Joshua McKinley, Kimberly Goldson, Laura Kathleen and Viktor Luna.

After going to Mood and selecting their fabric, the designers begin to work on their outfits. This week, the participants are responsible for two looks; the second is a one-piece look that will be sold on Piperline.com. Mentor, Tim Gunn takes them back to Mood to select fabrics for their second look. This task proves to be challenging for Anya because she loses her money and borrows $11.50 which is what she uses to make her 70's inspired pants.

Back in the workroom everyone is racing against the clock to finish their designs. Tim pays the designers a visit to check on their progress and he offers some helpful hints. The remaining seven designers continue to works on their designs.

The models arrive then head down to hair and make-up where the designers join them to show the make-up artist and hair stylist what they want for the show. It’s now time for the runway show but Anya and Kimberly are still making some last minute touches in the sowing room then Tim calls time.

Tonight’s judges are Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia and Olivia Munn, the Editor from Piperline.com. After watching all of the designs showcased on the runway the judges begin to deliberate. The judges select Anya as the winner so her jumpsuit will be produced and sold on Piperline.com. Next, the judges choose to eliminate Anthony-Ryan.
