Tyler Perry has cast Kim Kardashian in his upcoming production The Marriage Counselor.  The reality star will play a woman named Ava who works with an Ivy League-educated marriage counselor named Judith who is married to an accountant. Their relationship disintegrates when his parents move in and Judith begins an affair with her college sweetheart and her life gets turned inside out. The Marriage Counselor began as a play that got so successful that Tyler Perry has decided to turn it into a film. By casting Kim Kardashian, Tyler Perry expects to cash in on her fame and large fan base.

The Marriage Counselor will be Kim Kardashian’s third movie. Her previous roles were in Disaster Movie and Deep in the Valley. In addition she has appeared on CSI: New York while younger sister Khloe Kardashian had a guest spot on the now canceled Law & Order: Los Angeles. Despite her numerous reality shows, Kim Kardashian is not an actress but a personality who has leveraged a leaked sex tape to gigs on E!, a commercial for Carl’s Jr, and a sexy Superbowl Ad for sneakers. She is a staple on magazine covers and with numerous product endorsements the public is very familiar with her face. Tyler Perry’s decision to cast her could draw in an audience of fans but he has a challenge in making people believe she is anything but herself in the role.

There is a good chance that the production of The Marriage Counselor will be included in Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Filming begins in Atlanta on October 26 and co-stars Jurnee Smollett as the lead character Ava. Kim Kardashian just finished filming Kourtney and Kim Take New York and is headed to Las Vegas this weekend to celebrate her birthday as a fundraiser for the Dream Foundation at the Marquee. Her husband Kris Humphries is said to be joining his wife for her party in Las Vegas but it is not clear how often he will visit the set of The Marriage Counselor. The couple has used Twitter to dispel divorce rumors about their own marriage.
