Real Housewives of Atlanta: Is Kim Zolciak Getting Her Own Show?

The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kim Zolciak, has had quite the year. She’s fallen in love with Atlanta Falcon Kroy Biermann, given birth to a baby boy, and has the highest-selling song of all the Real Housewives! What’s a Real Housewife to do next? Having it filmed on TV is a given, but will Kim Zolciak have her own Bravo series like Bethenney Frankel?

According to the Huffington Post, yes Kim will have her own series! Kim Zolciak is reportedly getting her own spin-off show, per a Bravo insider. Like Bethenney, the insider acknowledges Kim is a “game-changer” in the crowded field of Housewives. Bethenney may have have made her mark as the ultimate “Skinnygirl,” but Kim has made her made her mark as Bravo’s campy “Singing Girl.” Kim was the first Real Housewife to release a single (“Tardy for the Party”); and even though LuAnn DeLesseps, Melissa Gorga, and others have followed similar musical suit, she is still the most successful of the Housewives.  Much like Bethenney, Kim fell in love and had a baby while filming The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The premise of the spin-off would be very similar to Bethenney Getting Married? and Bethenney Ever After: new mom juggling love, career, and being a Bravolebrity. Instead of Kim visiting the shrink (a la Bethenney), Kim visits the beauty parlor and gets therapy from her friends.

Rumors of a potential spin-off have been surrounding Kim for nearly a year now. But with all of the turmoil involving the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and the Real Housewives of New York City cast upheavals, is Bravo now betting on Kim to be the next Bravo network star? Do you want Kim Zolciak to have her own show? How would you feel if she left The Real Housewives of Atlanta?
