Rumour: Kanye West to show collection at NYFW

After season after season of front row appearances and a Louis Vuitton sneaker collaboration under his belt, American rap artist and record producer Kanye West may finally be creating his own fashion line to feature at New York Fashion Week, Fashionolia can reveal.

Grazia Magazine recently reported that West is ‘finally ready to show the world what he’s been working on’.  The singer recently spent the last fashion month in Paris researching garments and seeking advice on factories and clothing production. He has also allegedly opened a spacious studio in London and has had assistance from Central St. Martin’s professor Louise Wilson, who has previously mentored faces such as Alexander McQueen, Alber Elbaz for Lanvin and Christopher Kane, to name a few. Keep your eyes peeled for Kanye’s debut collection at Fashion Week this season – we’ll be sure to cover it!

What do you think of A List celebrities creating their own fashion line? Should they simply stick to wearing the garments at high class events, or let their creative minds run wild? Let us know!
