Lifetime resurrects Supernanny, but with an American nanny this time

Lifetime plans to resurrect Supernanny, the ABC reality series that ended last season after Jo Frost quit the show. The cable network is now searching for America’s Supernanny, which will be “the first true U.S. version of the hit global format that will feature an American homegrown nanny,” Lifetime said in a press release.

Producers are now casting for someone who needs to have “a tough, but loving, philosophy to caring for children; ability to determine the roots of highly emotional relationship problems within families in desperate need for help; utilize background and experience to coach parents and kids, alike, with constructive, enlightening and results-driven criticism; proof of U.S. residence…and extensive travel.”
