Was Ryan Dunn The Real Jackass? Or Were His Fans?

Yes, we know that MTV‘s Jackass star Ryan Dunn was VERY drunk at the time of his fatal crash, but was is entirely his fault? Or did his fans have some part of it?

We keep learning new details of the tragic death of Jackass star Ryan Dunn, and while we know his blood alcohol level was over two times the legal limit on the night of his crash, was he entirely responsible? New information and video footage suggests that fans bought the Jackass star one beer and two additional shots before 2 am and then Ryan Dunn disappeared to the outside patio area of the bar, where Liquor Control Enforcement Sergeant William La Torre thinks that fans may have given the star even more drinks.

There were already claims that Ryan Dunn did not appear to be drunk at the time he left Barnaby’s and La Torre agreed to that claim as well after viewing the footage, however he did state that the extra drinks fans bought for Ryan in his final hour at the bar could have spiked his blood alcohol level.

In a statement, La Torre said: “His BAC was likely on its way up at the time of the crash given the drinks he consumed at the end of the night” and he added that it could have taken at least 30 minutes for the final drinks to hit him which would be right around the same time as the fatal crash. Police also believe that the extra drinks before 2 am raised Ryan Dunn’s total alcohol consumption to eleven drinks at least..over a four hour period that would equate to a blood alcohol level of around 0.19.

Whether or not his fans wanted to buy him drinks should not even be an issue – the real issue is after watching him consume so many drinks, why would his fans or friends allow Ryan to get behind the wheel? To us, that makes them jackasses as well. So who is the real jackass here? Sound off and tell us what you think!
