Season two of Boardwalk Empire is on it’s way and to prepare us for it’s launch, HBO have released the below promo clip.

In the video Jimmy Darmody explains that ‘things have changed in Atlantic City.’ He has struck out on his own and is ‘expanding’ his business into the supply of illegal ‘liquor.’ But don’t expect Nucky Thompson to go down without a fight.

He is furious about the encroachment into his lucrative territory and threatens Jimmy – ‘I will ruin you, all of you.’

However things looked stacked against the womanising politician and we don’t fancy his chances against the huge array of enemies which he has amassed….

Martin Scorsese’s Boardwalk Empire was a huge critical hit when the first season premièred in 2010.

The ball started rolling, when the drama won a Writers Guild of America Award for Best Writing in a New Series and was nominated for Best Writing in a Drama Series. After that it soon won a Golden Globe for best Dramatic Series, while Steve Buscemi won Best Actor in Dramatic Series and Kelly MacDonald was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television. The Cast went on to win the Screen Actor’s Guild Award for Best Ensemble in a Drama Series, while Steve Buscemi won the Screen Actor’s Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series and Martin Scorsese won the Directors Guild Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Dramatic Series.

“Boardwalk Empire” is expected to return to HBO for it’s second season this autumn, but the US TV network has not confirmed the premiere date.
