American Idol’s Pia Toscano Signs With Interscope Records

American Idol’s most shocking eliminated contestant of season 10, Pia Toscano, has officially signed with Jimmy Iovine and Interscope Records. Read on to find out the name of Pia Toscano’s first single and when her debut album is expected to drop.

Fox’s eliminated American Idol contestant Pia Toscano is getting the last laugh. She can officially say she is now part of the Jimmy Iovine and Interscope Records family with a her new deal.

Immediately following her American Idol elimination, everyone thought she was signing on the the dotted line with Interscope Records, but nothing was official — until now.

Pia Toscano said in a statement, “I am thrilled to be joining the Interscope and 19 Recordings family. [Interscope Geffen A&M Chairman] Jimmy Iovine was an amazing mentor during my time on Idol and I’m looking forward to working with him and everyone at Interscope Records and 19 Recordings. This is a dream come true.”

Toscano added, “I feel like I’m in really good hands. The most important thing for me is feeling safe with my team. I think they have a good vision for me and where my career is going to go.” Who’s laughing now?

The first single off of Pia Toscano’s debut album is called This Time and was penned by Rihanna and Nicki Minaj’s writer, Ester Dean. It’s set to drop on July 12, while the album is expected to hit stores later this year.

Pia Toscano is going to have a busy schedule with an album in the works and the American Idol summer tour set to kick off on July 6th.
