Real World returning to San Diego for its 26th season

The Real World’s 26th season will be filmed in San Diego, a city that has previously hosted the MTV reality show. That would follow a trend of the show returning to cities its used before—New Orleans, Las Vegas, and now San Diego—which the show’s creator said is because the series ran out of cities with “fantasy appeal.”

If the report holds up, the cast members’ house will be on the beach: 5212 Chelsea Street in San Diego. A moving company’s blog post said the company moved an unamed celebrity from his house because it will be used by the series. Titan Movers says that “the owner didn’t want any of his valuables destroyed by the Real World’s notoriously wreckless cast members.” However, he did “let us take professional photos of the inside of his house so that we could use the photographs to promote our moving company.”

The Real World stalking sleuths at Vevmo have other photos from real estate listings and first noticed the moving company’s post, and found the house’s street address. The photos show a spectacular eight-bedroom house that has a tennis court on its roof and a pool, spa, and sauna—and is on the beach.

Rental listings have been removed, but a Google cache copy says that it was being leased for $50,000.
