Ross Kemp swears off reality TV | The Sun |Showbiz|TV

The 46-year-old star ruled out ever appearing on shows like Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing On Ice or I'm A Celebrity no matter how hard times might get.

The former EastEnders actor and documentary maker told Radio Times: "Not even for a million pounds."

He added: "I might live to regret saying that. If my career takes a tumble and I have to pay the mortgage, who knows?"

Ross also said he thought more documentaries were needed on television to help balance schedules filled with reality TV.

"I do think documentaries have been marginalised, and we've dumbed down and nannied up," he said.

"There's a place out there for programmes like Strictly and X Factor, but television has an obligation to inform people about what's going on in the world."

Ross Kemp: Extreme World airs next Monday on Sky1.
