Project Runway: Michael Kors Dream Job

« | Home | »

February 7, 2011 07:00:50 by Christine McDow

Michael Kors is a world famous fashion designer, popular judge of the hit show Project Runway which is about to begin filming its’ ninth season, and a boutique owner with 200 store fronts set to open in 2011 that will exclusively sell his designs.  There is one job he would really like to take on though, and it probably isn’t one you would expect.  What is it?  Keep reading to find out!

If you have been to California, Las Vegas, or parts of Arizona you have probably tried the hit hamburger chain In-N-Out Burger.  If you haven’t tried it you have almost definitely heard of it.  Michael Kors has heard of it, eaten it and loves it!  He claims that he would love to team up with In-N-Out Burger to create a variation of their world famous hamburger.

“I want a deal with In-N-Out Burger — to do a special sauce or a wrapper. I’m horseradish-obsessed!”

We love In-N-Out, although we aren’t sure about having it with horseradish!  I guess if you like horseradish it might not be too bad.  However, a special wrapper design might be interesting!  Even a few different variations.  Like the In-N-Out t-shirts, you could collect them!  Heck, paper products could be the next “in” thing in the design business.  We remember some Project Runway designs centered around paper.  They definitely made news!

How to make: A fashionable cake

The Stella McCartney ‘fruit print’ has become one of the most iconic patterns for the season, with high street brands such as Zara following suit. However, the look can be fairly difficult to pull off unless you’re a stick thin model, so we’ve found a way to get your fashion fix and your hunger fix for a fraction of the cost of a real Stella. Courtesy of Apollinas. Ingredients: Directions Heat oven to 350°F. Butter two 8?, 9? or 10? round cake pans, line the bottoms with greaseproof paper, butter again, and dust with flour, tapping out the excess. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.Using an electric mix, beat the butter and sugar on medium-high until fluffy – this will take around 2 to 3 minutes.  Mix in the grated zest of the oranges and lemons.  Beat in the vanilla, then the eggs one at a time.Reduce mixer speed to low.
