Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best? airing on We TV follows the lives of Joan and Melissa Rivers. Joan has moved from New York to California to be closer to her daughter Melissa and grandson Cooper. Until Joan finds a home, she is staying with Melissa and driving her crazy! Melissa’s boyfriend Jason suggests the family takes part in a “shared experience” to get along better. How is Melissa handeling the situation? Read her blog below.OK, I’m just going to come right out and say this: Things have gotten a little tense around here since Mom moved in with us. Mom seems to believe that because she’s my mother it’s her job to criticize everything I say and do. But guess what? I’m a Mom, too, and I know that’s just not true.

Mom also seems to think that we would get along just fine if I would just accept the fact that she’s never wrong. My one-word response to that: wrong! So Jason and I have decided that it’s time to work on this as a family, maybe with some outside help. Jason even suggested that we try doing a team-building exercise, which is the corporate approach of using a shared experience (like a wilderness challenge or something) to help a group of people get along better. Not sure how my Mom will react to this–her idea of a life-changing shared experience is a Mimosa brunch followed by a trip to Neiman-Marcus, but I’m convinced that it’s worth a try. Life’s too short and I am so over getting into any more pointless little arguments. Mom might drag her feet a little at first, but once she realizes this will help bring us closer as a family I’m sure she’ll get on board. Well, I’m pretty sure…

How to make: A fashionable cake

The Stella McCartney ‘fruit print’ has become one of the most iconic patterns for the season, with high street brands such as Zara following suit. However, the look can be fairly difficult to pull off unless you’re a stick thin model, so we’ve found a way to get your fashion fix and your hunger fix for a fraction of the cost of a real Stella.
