Last December Jennifer Grey had to have surgery on her back to fix a problem that was created while she was on the hit show Dancing with the Stars. Last weekend Jennifer Grey had yet another surgery, this time on her foot to remove a neuroma? Are you lost? So were we! Keep reading to find out exactly what Jennifer had removed.
According to Wikipedia, a neuroma is a growth or tumor of nerve tissue. The surgery Jennifer underwent removed a mass of nervous system tissues from her foot. It seems that Jennifer has been in a great deal of pain since winning Dancing With The Stars.
Jennifer commented on the surgery on her Twitter page saying, “After DWTS it just got worse and worse, so do whatcha gotta do. ain’t no thang. pain is just a feeling. then its gone.” After the surgery she immediately commented again saying, “duudes, hard to believe, but i just had my foot operated on, so hopefully i can walk again. gotta dance.miss u all.”
It sounds like her neuroma was the “good kind”, a non-plastic neuroma which just affected the nerves vs a plastic neuroma which would be a tumor in her foot. Either way we wish Jennifer Grey a speedy recovery and hope she is able to put dancing shoes on again soon.
