Coronation Street’s Jim McDonald will make a return to the ITV soap this spring but he won’t be around for very long.

The Northern Irish man is desperate to buy The Rovers Return from his son Steve but when he fails to raise the cash from all legitimate sources, he gets desperate and decides to hold up Weatherfield Building Society.

Jim barges into the establishment, holding a gun and screaming at staff:

“I’ve got a gun. So if you know what’s good for you, my friend, you’ll fill that bag to the top with all your cash, so you will.”

However things take a negative turn when a scared worker presses the panic button and summons the police. A hostage situation arises and McDonald insists on speaking to his ex-wife. During his few minute phonecall he tells Liz:

“I’ve let you down big time Elizabeth, so I have.”

He then threatens to shoot himself…..Will he do it? Will this be the reason that Liz leaves the street? We can’t wait to find out!

How to make: A fashionable cake

The Stella McCartney ‘fruit print’ has become one of the most iconic patterns for the season, with high street brands such as Zara following suit. However, the look can be fairly difficult to pull off unless you’re a stick thin model, so we’ve found a way to get your fashion fix and your hunger fix for a fraction of the cost of a real Stella.
