Celebrity Apprentice’s Gary Busey Endorses Donald Trump for President, Slams Team Backbone

Donald Trump is obviously a big fan of Gary Busey, and despite being fired by the real estate tycoon on Sunday’s episode of Celebrity Apprentice, Busey admitted that he’s a fan of Trump’s as well, telling NBC‘s Today show that he “would be an absolutely good” president. An endorsement from Gary Busey could  be either really good, or REALLY bad, depending on whether you think the eccentric actor is a genius, or clinically insane. If you ask the members of team Backbone, they’re sure to tell you the latter, but Gary doesn’t think too highly of them either!

Not everyone is convinced that Donald Trump is really going to run for President of the United States in 2012, but if he does, one person he can count on to campaign for him is Gary Busey.

In a recent appearance on the Today show, Busey said that Trump would be an “absolutely good” president.

“He knows about this country. He knows the situation we’re in now,” said Busey of Donald Trump’s potential presidential bid.

Although Gary says that he has “great respect for sitting President Barack Obama,” if it came down to Obama and Trump for president in 2012, he’d likely choose The Donald.

As for his teammates on Celebrity Apprentice, Gary Busey didn’t have many — okay, ANY nice things to say.

“The team – Backbone – should be called Backstabber,” said Busey, “because after the second episode they were out to get me, get me out there.

“My team didn’t want me there. My team was not my team,” added the actor, suggesting that the members of Backbone just didn’t understand him.

“I work in a mysterious way. People don’t know what I’m thinking or where I’m coming from,” said Busey.

Alright, is anyone else hoping that Donald Trump does run for President just to see Gary Busey on the campaign trail and how many “bacronyms” he can make out of the word VOTE?!!
