Your OWN Show: Oprah’s Search For the Next TV Star currently airing on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) has paired hosts Carson Kressley and Nancy O’Dell together again. So, how does the dynamic-duo really feel about working together again? Keep reading!Carson Kressley is an accomplished stylist, television star, equestrian, author and fashion designer. He has previously hosted ABC’s “True Beauty” and Lifetime’s: “How to Look Good Naked.” He first burst onto the scene in Bravo’s critically acclaimed series, “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” in which he earned a primetime Emmy.
Nancy O’Dell, has been named one of Television Week’s “10 Most Bankable Stars in Syndication.” She is a journalist, author, producer and entrepreneur. Nancy is considered one of the leading entertainment journalists and was on the team that started “Access Hollywood” serving as anchor for 13 years from 1996 to 2009. She has also contributed reports to NBC’s Today and Dateline.
In a video interview together, Carson and Nancy recount how they first found out they would be working together. Carson remembers explaining, “I was pretty upset for a couple days but then I pulled myself out of the emotional gutter—No! I didn’t have the chance to work with Nancy for a long time; we did a lot of stuff with Access Hollywood when I was on Queer Eye and doing some NBC stuff, so I was super excited because she’s lovely, she’s charming and she’s talented.”
“When I found out I was hosting with Carson I was so beyond excited,” Nancy said, “But like he said–we had not worked together that much and so it was so nice to be able to get to know you because I was literally in stitches every single day and I had complete Carson with-drawls on the days I was not with you!”
Nancy and Carson’s trailers were next to each other on the lot which made tending to all of the details for “Your Own Show” a lot easier. Carson explains, “We kind of coordinated our outfits, I was like, ‘What are you wearing?’” He said laughing. Nancy says they collaborated often, “Of-course I’d have to go by Carson, I’d be like, ‘What do you think of this outfit?’ Because he’s you know a fashion guru.”
“And I would always say I loved it.” Carson responded.
“Even if you really didn’t?” Nancy asked.
Cason replied, “Yeah, but that only happened once and then you changed.”
“Oh, ok.” Nancy said jokingly.
While the two tease each other a lot, they have a no-nonsense attitude when making the tough decision on which contestant to send home on Your OWN Show. The competition is now down to six finalists! Team Vision is made up of Elizabeth, Kristina and Terey and Team Focus includes Ryan, Zach and Alicia.
