So You Think You Can Dance: Fox Announces New Audition Dates

Do you think you have what it takes to become “America’s Favorite Dancer”? Well, Fox is looking for you. The network announced more So You Think You Can Dance audition dates for season eight. Read more to see if they’ll be coming to a city near you…

The search is on for “America’s Favorite Dancer.” Fox announced its hit dance competition “So You Think You Can Dance” is resuming auditions for season 8, giving dancers three more chances to make it onto the show.

Fox made some changes to the audition schedule, adding audition dates in Salt Lake City, UT and Atlanta, GA and canceling auditions in Charlotte, NC.

The Salt Lake City auditions will be held at the Jeane Wagner Theatre on Feb. 2 and at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta on Feb. 19.

Los Angeles, CA auditions have been rescheduled to Saturday, March 12 at the Orpheum Theatre.

The open calls start at 8 a.m. with registration. Traveling dancers are asked to make arrangements to stay for two days if called back.

Contestant who wow the judges with their dance skills and choreography will move on to the next round, getting a ticket to Vegas, where they’ll work with some of the top choreographers, learning routines from different styles of dance.

Contestants who prove they can tackle any dance style will move forward to compete on the show.

This season ballroom dance expert Mary Murphy is returning to the show as a permanent judge, alongside executive producer and head judge Nigel Lythgoe.

The next season of “So You Think You Can Dance” will air this summer on Fox.
