Karina Smirnoff will appear in Playboy, freaking out someone at Dancing with the Stars

Dancing with the Stars pro Karina Smirnoff, who’s currently paired with Ralph Macchio, will appear naked in the May issue of Playboy, which will be out in a few weeks. That’s according to Hugh Hefner, who wrote on Twitter, “The May issue of Playboy is unforgettable with Dancing With The Stars’ Karina Smirnoff on the cover & nude inside.”

Karina hasn’t commented directly, but her official Facebook page linked to Radar’s story about her appearance in the magazine.

This news has freaked at least one person out. Popeater quotes an anonymous “insider” at the ABC reality show who said, “If Karina posed naked, she can kiss her dancing days goodbye. I hope for Karina’s sake that this isn’t true.”

Considering that Kendra Wilkinson is currently on Dancing with the Stars, never mind the fact that the photo shoot is probably already done, I cannot imagine producers or the network having a real issue with this, at least not without showing themselves to be complete hypocrites. Or maybe Popeater just needs to find better sources.
