Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best? episode two airs tonight on We TV. The reality television series follows the lives of Joan and Melissa Rivers. The mother-daughter duo has worked together before, but this time they’re working and living together! In this week’s episode many wonder if Joan goes too far?  Here’s Melissa’s take on the controversial episode: Joan Takes Over

Hard to believe it’s only been a few weeks since Mom showed up at my doorstep with 12 suitcases and an incontinent Jack Russell terrier named Lola. I guess it’s true what they say: times flies when your elderly, over-bearing Jewish comedy icon mother moves in with you and decides to start running your life. But there have been good times, too. Like…well, nothing comes to mind but I’m sure there have been. Wait a minute — of course! Like the time we all…no, that was a nightmare, too. Anyway, the weirdest thing about having my Mom move in with me is all the nudity. Between the massages, the personal grooming, and a few other assorted incidents I’d rather not get into my life has gone from a G rating to a PG-13 rating overnight ever since Mom got here.

When I was a little girl my Mom taught me to be modest and ladylike at all times, unless it was for a really big part and I was being offered the lead. Now it seems like every time I turn around I’m looking for something to cover myself up with. I’m probably the only woman in the world whose own mother has begged her to pose topless for an international publication, although I can’t say for sure because I don’t know Courtney Love personally. Still, that has to rank right up there as one of the weirdest conversations I’ve ever had with my Mom…
