During week nine of The Fashion Show Ultimate Collection, Cesar was sent home, leaving Jeffrey, Calvin and Dominique to head into the finale. While his elimination may have come as a shock and disappointment to some, the experienced designer is content with the outcome on his Fashion Show experience as he explained during his exit interview on Bravo.

“I’m not sad at all actually,” Cesar shared. “I have peace within myself. I keep things in perspective. I would have loved to have been in the competition with Jeffrey and Dominique and I think they wanted the same thing too. I see Dominique as this incredible, brilliant young talent. I see Calvin as kind of like a shady character. Jeffrey is an incredibly, wonderfully great guy. I think he’s got great talent also. I think they’re just evolving in what they’re doing. I’m really excited to see what’s going to happen for the final competition. I hope they give us a wonderful collection.

Looking back on the challenge, Cesar reflected, “I did my best and that’s all I can do is put my best foot forward. It’s a matter of taste. I was happy with what I put on the runway and that’s how you have to take any kind of criticism from anybody. You can criticize a perfect flower, you can find defects in everything. It’s a matter of taking what’s really valid and what’s not valid. I really respect and appreciate people’s opinions.”

Summing up his thoughts on leaving The Fashion Show Ultimate Collection, Cesar mused, “This is where I’m supposed to be right now. I’m excited about getting out and doing what I love to do and continuing doing what I love to do. I’m glad I came. It’s been one magical experience after the next. It’s just really surreal in many different ways.”

As for what’s next for Cesar, he previewed, “I’m the creative director and one of the fashion designers of Houston Fashion Week in Houston, Texas, so I’m going back home to make money and show my work and keep working.”
