It was reported earlier this week that Ricky Norwood’s EastEnders character is not only staying on in the show, his dad’s going to be arriving in Walford too…

And Ricky, who of course plays Fatboy, has revealed that his ideal casting for the role of his on-screen dad would be Sir David Jason’s Del Boy.

EastEnders bosses are currently auditioning actors to play the part of Fatboy’s dad, who’s to be called Ashley Chubb.

Speaking to the PA about who would play Ashley, Ricky said, “In an ideal world I’d love David Jason to play my dad…

“Can you imagine? Del Boy and Fatboy!

“It would be great but whoever comes in I’m sure they’re going to be great.

“I’m looking forward to seeing who they cast.”

We’ll meet Ashley later this year when he first arrives in Walford.
