Dancing with the Stars: Rachael Ray Apologizes To Costume Designer

Rachael Ray is eating her words. She’s now apologizing to ABC Dancing with the Stars’ costume designer for making negative comments about his work. Keep reading to see what she had to say about her previous comments…

According to PopEater, Rachael Ray apologized to “Dancing with the Stars’” Emmy-award winning costume designer for her previous comments on television.

PopEater reports Rachael had previously stated she would never go on the dancing competition because she’d never want to wear the revealing costumes.

She read a letter from costume designer Randall Christensen stating his disappointment at her comments and apologized to him on air.

The talk show host told Randall, “I was never trying to offend you or any of the great people that work with you, to produce such beautiful costumes. They’re amazing, and they do, in fact, make everyone on the show look fabulous.”

Rachael explained the comments weren’t meant as a critique of his designs, but were a joke about her issues with her body image.

In Rachael’s note, Randall praised her show and requested an apology, asking: “Do you have any idea how hard it is to sit and hear you talk about my work that way?”

Rachael apologized profusely and clarified her statement.

Rachael’s comments about the revealing costumes on “Dancing with the Stars” have become a running joke on her talk show. Rachael stressed every time she mentions she won’t wear the costumes, it’s not about the designs, but her own body issues.

Randall called in to the show to say he’ll accept Rachael’s apology only if she wears a costume specifically designed for her on the “Rachael Ray ” show next Thursday.
