Boardwalk Empire has taken America by storm and female star of the show Kelly Macdonald looks like she could be Hollywood bound.

On playing dowdy, pregnant housewife Margaret Schroeder in the show the actress told The Sun’s Buzz Magazine:

“It begins in 1920, and when I pictured that decade, I thought of bobbed hair and glamorous flapper-girl dresses…But the clothes are still slightly Victorian, with lots of unflattering dropped waists…At first Margaret is downtrodden, but things chance unexpectedly for her…And her dresses get fancier too.”

The prohibition era drama has been picked up for a second season and on soon jetting out from Glasgow to film the second season in New York Katherine raved:

“I’m thrilled. It’s an amazing city – but I’ve got no plans to live there permanently…This way, I’ve got the best of both worlds.”
