The Amazing Race Finale Air Date Announced

While The Amazing Race did not air this week, CBS announced the season finale for the Unfinished Business season.  The racers assembled from previous seasons for a second turn around the world will wrap up their trip in May.

CBS has announced that the season finale will air on Sunday, May 8.  The finale will be two hours and air from 8 to 10 pm EST.  CBS also recently announced that The Amazing Race has been renewed, but for only one season.  The new season will mark the show’s 19th voyage across the globe.  Casting is currently underway for the newest cycle.

Based on other announcements, we know that the current cast will still be traveling to Vienna, Austria, Switzerland, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  The remaining pairs are Ron and Christina, Gary and Mallory, Kent and Vyxsin, Zev and Justin, Kisha and Jen, Harlem Globetrotters Flight Time and Big Easy, and cowboys Jet and Cord.  Out of the remaining racers, who do you think has the best chance to win?  A parent and child team has not yet won the race.  Last season, history was made when the first all-female team won.  Perhaps history will be made again if Ron and Christina or Gary and Mallory are able to cross the finish line for the million dollar prize first.

Host Phil Keoghan promised this season would be much tougher on the racers, since they were getting a second chance.  The super-legs have been gruelling on the racers.  What new challenges await them as the stakes are higher?  Tune into the Amazing Race to find out.

How to make: A fashionable cake

The Stella McCartney ‘fruit print’ has become one of the most iconic patterns for the season, with high street brands such as Zara following suit. However, the look can be fairly difficult to pull off unless you’re a stick thin model, so we’ve found a way to get your fashion fix and your hunger fix for a fraction of the cost of a real Stella. Courtesy of Apollinas. Ingredients: Directions Heat oven to 350°F. Butter two 8?, 9? or 10? round cake pans, line the bottoms with greaseproof paper, butter again, and dust with flour, tapping out the excess.
