Your OWN Show: Oprah’s Search for the Next TV Star featured Arsenio Hall in this week’s episode. Airing on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), eight remaining contests continue to vie for the grand prize—their own television show. Find out what happened!

The third week’s episode entitled: “Who Gets the Last Laugh?” welcomed guest mentor Arsenio Hallwho helped the teams produce late night talk show segments. Their tasks were to feature a comedy monologue and conduct an interview with Arsenio.

When first meeting the contestants, Arsenio, gave them some tips for conducting a late night interview explaining they need to be, “Funny, timely and most importantly you need to listen.”

The teams then broke into their two groups to discuss who would take on each role for this task. Team Vision made up of Aunt Flora, Elizabeth, Kristina and Terey jumped right into delegating who would do what and concentrated on what they wanted out of their segment. When Arsenio entered the room, he said they engaged him immediately and got down to business with a purpose. Much to the judge’s surprise, Terey took on the executive producing role, Aunt Flora was the host and Kristina did the comedy monologue.

Meanwhile, Team Focus made up of Ryan, Zach, Tony and Alicia spent a lot of time talking to Arsenio about himself when he went in to meet them—something Arsenio said pulled attention away from their time together to make critical decisions. Tony was the executive producer, Alicia was the host and Zach delivered the comedic monologue.

During a visit to the world famous Laugh Factory on Sunset Boulevard both teams got ready for their challenge by doing theatre games. Once back in the studio it was time to run through their show.

Team Focus put together a good balance featuring Zach performing a comedic monologue that kept the judges laughing and Alicia hosted with a natural flow.

Team Vision put together a segment with Kristina delivering a funny monologue and Aunt Flora conducting an ok interview. But the judges felt Team Vision fell short this week. They choose Terey and Aunt Flora to be in the bottom two. Both had the chance to redeem themselves by conducting their own individual interview with Arsenio. Terey did a fantastic interview with Arsenio, which the judges were very pleased with but Aunt Flora still didn’t deliver up to what the judges were hoping for and was sent home.
