Your OWN Show: Oprah’s Search for the Next TV Star will feature Arsenio Hall in this week’s episode. Airing on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), the series is now down to eight contestants vying to win the grand prize of receiving their own television show.

The third week’s episode entitled: “Who Gets the Last Laugh?” welcomes guest mentor Arsenio Hall who will help the teams produce late night talk show segments. The actor, comedian, and former talk show host, is best known for The Arsenio Hall Show, which ran from 1989 through 1994. The syndicated late-night talk show became known for its audience choosing to chant “Roo, roo, roo,” as they pumped their fists instead of normal applause. Taking on the executive producing role, Arsenio also pushed to air cutting edge comedy and politics on his show. He featured at the time, music superstars such as Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, Boyz II Men and many others.
