Fans who tuned into Worst Cooks In America on Food Network on Sunday watched in horror as Jeff Longcor drowned his omelet in oil and then failed to impress Robert Irvine during the main dish challenge, which led to his dismissal. In his elimination interview, Jeff shares what he learned from the show as he talks about his experience. Keep reading for more details!

Food Network’s Worst Cooks In America lost two more recruits this week, one of which was Jeff Longcor who really tried way too hard to impress Robert Irvine by completely destroying his dish. In his elimination interview, Jeff says that the biggest thing he learned from his experience was the importance of prepping everything in advance and having everything ready as he said “This high level of forethought and preparation is a great strategy for approaching any challenge in life.” Jeff also said “If I had a do-over, I would pause at the important moments, take a deep breath, and review the next few steps to make sure I didn’t make an irreversible mistake.”

Despite all he learned from his experience on the show and Robert Irvine, Jeff has gone back to his old diet routine of pasta, yogurt and energy bars. So why hasn’t he attempted anything new at home? He did mention that he was able to cook eggs without deep frying them, but his busy schedule keeps him from attempting any new dishes. He goes on to say “I will try to continue to develop my culinary skills, but my busy schedule, limited budget, and undistinguished palate often prevent me from experimenting with food on a regular basis. While I may keep eating pasta every night, at least I have a few spectacular Food Network dishes I can make when I need to impress someone special.” For the complete interview with Jeff Longcor please visit Food Network’s elimination interview with Jeff Longcor.

Be sure to tune in to Worst Cooks In America on Food Network at 9 pm EST for this exciting new episode!

How to make: A fashionable cake

The Stella McCartney ‘fruit print’ has become one of the most iconic patterns for the season, with high street brands such as Zara following suit. However, the look can be fairly difficult to pull off unless you’re a stick thin model, so we’ve found a way to get your fashion fix and your hunger fix for a fraction of the cost of a real Stella.
