Since Season 1 of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta, rumors of the outspoken NeNe Leakes leaving the show have always seemed to circulate, and this season is not going to be any different. Already, the Celebrity Apprentice star is starting all the speculation herself, claiming in a recent interview that she has no interest in returning to the show. So is NeNe really leaving the show– or is it just contract negotiation time again? Keep reading for more…

We know that it’s been a rough season for Real Housewives of Atlanta’s NeNe Leakes. Not only have cameras rolled while she’s undergone plastic surgery and during the turbulent times with her son, Bryson, but we’ve also watched in awe as NeNe’s marriage to her husband, Gregg, has all but dissolved (seriously, how long can they milk this one?), and her on-again-off-again friendship with co-star Kim Zolciak has hit the skids.

And now, Leakes, who we’ll also get to see on NBC this spring when she stars in Celebrity Apprentice, says that she’s just not feelin’ the idea of coming back for more.

“I’m not really interested in joining the next season,” the Hotlanta Housewife told Zap2it in an interview. “I’m just really not interested right now.”

NeNe didn’t give any reason for her possible departure from the show, but made it clear that it has nothing to do with her current fight with Kim Zolciak, whom NeNe admitted that she hasn’t spoken to in 6 months (with the exception of the RHATL Reunion Show).

What would NeNe Leakes do without Real Housewives? In her Zap2it interview, she mentioned wanting to focus on being more independent, working on a shoe line, a handbag line, her entertainment segment on 11 Alive, “Keepin’ It Real With NeNe,” and has hopes of eventually working behind-the-scenes producing radio and TV shows.

What do you think? Would you still watch Real Housewives of Atlanta without NeNe? And is she really leaving, or just making a play for more money?

How to make: A fashionable cake

The Stella McCartney ‘fruit print’ has become one of the most iconic patterns for the season, with high street brands such as Zara following suit. However, the look can be fairly difficult to pull off unless you’re a stick thin model, so we’ve found a way to get your fashion fix and your hunger fix for a fraction of the cost of a real Stella. Courtesy of Apollinas. Ingredients: Directions Heat oven to 350°F. Butter two 8?, 9? or 10? round cake pans, line the bottoms with greaseproof paper, butter again, and dust with flour, tapping out the excess.
