Kevin McHale has revealed that he thinks Glee writers got it right when they paired Artie and Brittany together.

The actor told EOnline! that the strange duo work well together and bring out the best in each other. He said:

“They work. I think in high school it can be very superficial and about the looks, but Brittany sees through that. And you wouldn’t think she would, but I think she genuinely does.”

McHale added: “Artie was the first person to draw any emotion out of Brittany, which was big.”

Glee airs in the UK on E4 each Monday at 9pm, it will return for a new episode in the US next month.
