As the second season of The Fashion House Ultimate Collection nears it’s end, week nine forces the designers to face their penultimate challenge. This week’s challenge decides who will compete in the finale and who must sadly go home. Keep on reading to find out what The Fashion House Ultimate Collection designers must tackle next.

This week, the remaining four Fashion House Ultimate Collection contestants meet Iman somewhere outside by the water to learn this will be their last challenge competing as fashion houses. They are sent on a boat ride around Manhattan to experience the natural elements in order to create a collection inspired by earth, air and water. Every designer will be responsible for three looks and the winner will receive a new Ford Edge vehicle.

During the model fitting, we see that House of Nami - Calvin and Dominique – are using beige-y, earth tones. Calvin takes inspiration from women giving birth, which he calls very earthy and Dominique giggles (of course) as she likens their collection to an art installation. Calvin and Dominique feel they are taking a huge risk, which includes the models going barefoot, but they note they have to go big in order to not go home.

Meanwhile, House of Emerald – Cesar and Jeffrey – go with blue hues and tones for their collection  representing air and ocean. Jeffrey thinks Cesar’s garments look great, but when he has a suggestion for the shape of one of his jackets, Cesar quickly shoots him down. However, it’s only a minor disagreement and they forge ahead confident they will emerge victorious for a second week in a row.

The three designers lucky enough to escape elimination will head into the finals next week. Who do you think will go home from the Bravo reality show and who will produce this season’s Ultimate Collection?

How to make: A fashionable cake

The Stella McCartney ‘fruit print’ has become one of the most iconic patterns for the season, with high street brands such as Zara following suit. However, the look can be fairly difficult to pull off unless you’re a stick thin model, so we’ve found a way to get your fashion fix and your hunger fix for a fraction of the cost of a real Stella. Courtesy of Apollinas. Ingredients: Directions Heat oven to 350°F. Butter two 8?, 9? or 10? round cake pans, line the bottoms with greaseproof paper, butter again, and dust with flour, tapping out the excess. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.Using an electric mix, beat the butter and sugar on medium-high until fluffy – this will take around 2 to 3 minutes.  Mix in the grated zest of the oranges and lemons.  Beat in the vanilla, then the eggs one at a time.Reduce mixer speed to low.
